ECTAD CARIBBEAN URGE NGOS AND GOVERNMENT TO DECLARE WAR ON OBESITY USING OUR HEALTHY AGRICULTURE FOODS AS A KEY WEAPON

We must put more practical action into people focus on food and nutrition security with strong emphasis s on our local healthy foods. We must also encourage our households to grow healthy fruit and vegetables in their back yards and be part of the solution.

It is estimated that over 60 % of the deaths in the Caribbean is linked to NDCs non communicable diseases. ECTAD CARIBBEAN is launching in August/September a program of Linking Agriculture to Nutrition and Health with pilot projects with three of our Caribbean Partners.
