Fit for Market(FFM) is an initiative of the Europe-Africa-Caribbean-Pacific Liaison Committee (COLEACP), a civil society organisation that manages and supports development projects in the ACP agricultural and food sector. COLEACP is a not-for-profit organization whose main purpose is to support the development of a sustainable and competitive agriculture and agribusiness.
The Fit For Market (FFM) programme launched in December 2016, armed with a sizeable budget of 25 million Euros to be used to further the overall goal of improving food security and safety, alleviating poverty, and ensuring sustainability and growth by strengthening the agri-food export sector in ACP countries. FFM’s objective is to allow small farmers, producer groups, farmer organisations, and small and medium enterprises, by giving them access to international and domestic fruit and vegetable markets by complying with the SPS standards and market requirements.
